We’ve had children scooting around Thoresby Park all last week, searching high and low for those first signs of spring, looking for the tale-tell signs and tracks from animals roaming the woodlands and foraging for materials to build their own Thoresby Bug Hotel.
Thoresby Spring Watch, a FREE activity booklet with crayons created for children to enjoy the great outdoors at Thoresby, proved to be a great success for our visitors with all booklets running out on Sunday evening!
If your child took part in Thoresby Spring Watch, we’d love to see how they got on, did they enjoy the booklet? Do you have any photos you’d like to share? Did you collect materials on the estate and have made your Thoresby Bug Hotel, let us know! Send them to our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!
Coming up next for your little and big ones to enjoy, is our Thoresby Easter Egg Hunt! Collect your trail map for £1 from the Visitor Centre between Friday 30th March and Sunday 15th April to find where the Easter Bunny has hidden Easter Eggs around the estate. If you’re able to find them all, you’ll find a chocolate’y treat waiting for you back in the courtyard.
You may be able to find eggs hidden at Thoresby landmarks including the Cricket Pavilion, The Roundhouse and The Walled Garden….you’ll just have to come and find out for yourself!
