The Pierrepont family has owned Thoresby Estate since the end of the 16th century. The family takes a full and active part in the management of the many Estate enterprises, which keep Thoresby well maintained, enabling it to survive for the next generation and remain open to visitors to come and enjoy everything the Estate has to offer.
Established in 1633 by Robert Pierrepont, the 1st Earl of Kingston upon Hull, Thoresby has a long history.
Close to the A1 and A614, Thoresby is a wonderful place to live with superb countryside, forests and parkland.
Thoresby Park is a beautiful and tranquil place for expanding or new businesses to be based.
Thoresby provides top quality woodchip biomass, sustainably sourced from our Sherwood Forest timber.
Thoresby farms 3,400 hectares and look after 130 Longhorn cattle and 250 Hebridean sheep across the Estate.
