Opened in July 2011 by HRH Princess Alexandra, the museum tells the fascinating story of the cavalry in the British Army – from the days of horseback, through the great tank battles of the Second World War, to more recent operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Interactive displays and presentations take visitors through the regiment’s part in British Army history.

Entry to the museum is free, although donations are of course very welcome.

The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:30am to 4:30pm between 1st March and 30th November. Open on Bank Holidays, including Mondays. Last entry 4:00pm.
