As you will have seen across National Media, the current dry conditions have greatly increased the risk of countryside fires, which not only are a threat to human life, but also to animals, vegetation and trees.
As a result of the dry conditions, Thoresby has implemented a no BBQ or open flame Rule across the estate.
You can help us keep Thoresby safe and beautiful and avoid the alongside photos by: –
- Disposing of cigarettes carefully in bins provided and ensure that they have been properly stubbed out. Do not dispose of any cigarettes in the Park or Woodlands and avoiding throwing cigarettes out of car windows.
- Avoid dropping glass of any kind on the Estate; this can sometimes accidentally start a fire, injure people or animals.
If you witness a fire, contact the Emergency Services immediately prior to informing an Estate member of staff.
Thank you for helping look after our Estate.
